About FIRMAN

More Ways to Power What Matters.

FIRMAN Power Equipment builds portable power equipment for backup, work and time outdoors. Its range includes both fuel-burning generators and the Zero E battery-powered system, two different approaches to keeping equipment running.

Fuel choice is an important first decision. Dual-fuel models support gasoline and propane; tri-fuel models add natural gas. Gasoline and dedicated propane options sit alongside those ranges, with inverter and open-frame designs serving different needs.

At Grid Getaway, you can compare those families separately, then find compatible cords, parallel kits, fuel hoses and transport accessories. Choose around running watts, startup demand, outlet requirements and the fuel you actually intend to use.

Your FIRMAN Questions, Answered.

Practical details to help you choose the right equipment and supporting components.

What is the difference between dual-fuel and tri-fuel?

FIRMAN dual-fuel generators support gasoline and propane. Tri-fuel generators also support natural gas. Rated output can vary by fuel, so compare the running-watt rating for the fuel you plan to use.

Are starting watts and running watts the same?

No. Running watts describe sustained output; starting or peak watts cover a limited surge. Size the generator for simultaneous running loads and the startup demand of equipment such as motors.

Is Zero E a gas generator?

No. Zero E is a battery-powered station, with a dedicated expansion pack available. It stores electricity and uses supported charging sources. It does not have the same refueling, exhaust or operating characteristics as a combustion generator.

Where can a fuel-burning generator be operated?

Only outdoors, away from windows, doors and vents, following the exact operator manual. Never operate it inside a home, garage, basement or other enclosed area. A CO-alert feature does not make indoor use safe.

Can a generator power my home circuits?

Home-circuit integration requires appropriately rated transfer equipment and installation by a qualified electrician. Confirm voltage, outlet and load requirements. Never backfeed electricity through a wall outlet.

Can I connect any two inverter generators in parallel?

No. Parallel operation depends on the exact supported models and a compatible parallel kit. Check the manufacturer pairing instructions and the resulting outlet ratings before purchasing cables or combining units.

What warranty and support apply to my order?

Coverage and registration requirements vary by product. Contact Grid Getaway with the exact FIRMAN model to confirm the terms that apply to your purchase. Manufacturer-direct promotions or extended coverage should not be assumed to apply to every sales channel.
