The Jackery Explorer 5000 Plus 10kWh kit pairs one Explorer 5000 Plus power station with one compatible Battery Pack 5000 Plus. Each holds 5,040Wh, giving the connected system 10,080Wh of rated battery capacity. This kit includes the power station; it is not a stand-alone expansion battery or Jackery's two-station Double Kit.
Output and charging
The Explorer 5000 Plus supplies up to 7,200W AC output and supports 120V and 240V AC connections. Its 4,000W figure is the maximum high-voltage solar input at 135–450V DC, not its AC output rating. Low-voltage solar input is separate: up to 600W on one DC port or 1,200W across both. Check the full array voltage, current and connector arrangement against Jackery's instructions before connecting panels.
What is included
One Explorer 5000 Plus power station, one Battery Pack 5000 Plus, one AC charging cable, one MC4 wrench, the station's user manual and one expansion cable are included. The expansion battery connects to the Explorer 5000 Plus; Jackery says the pack cannot charge devices on its own. Solar panels and a transfer switch are not part of this listing.
For backup planning
The station uses LiFePO4 cells, and Jackery rates the station and pack for 4,000 cycles to at least 70% capacity. The Explorer station weighs about 61kg (134.5lb); the separate battery pack weighs about 37kg (81.6lb). Jackery lists a five-year warranty for each component. AC charging time and solar recharge time depend on the connected configuration and available input; do not use the station-only 3.5-hour AC estimate or 1.7-hour high-voltage solar estimate as a guarantee for this expanded kit.
