Rich Solar MEGA 200 Briefcase Charging Kit — 200W Panel + 20A Controller
This RS-X200BC charging kit combines the folding 200W MEGA 200 briefcase panel with Rich Solar’s waterproof 20A solar charge controller for a suitable 12V battery setup. The panel folds for transport and has built-in kickstands and carrying handle. Confirm battery chemistry, controller settings, cable protection and polarity before charging.

200W of Power, Ready in Seconds
Unfold the panel, position its kickstands and connect it to the included controller as described in the controller manual. The 200W rating is measured under standard test conditions; real output depends on sunlight, temperature and setup.
Folds to Briefcase Size
Two 100W monocrystalline panels hinged together fold down to 33.1 × 26.4 × 2.4 inches — compact enough to slide behind a seat, stand in a truck bed, or store in an RV bay. Carry handles make transport from vehicle to campsite easy at 26 lbs.
Fully Weatherproof Construction
Strong tempered glass, an aluminum frame, corner protection on all edges, and fully weatherproof sealing keep the MEGA 200 Briefcase running reliably through rain, wind, dust, and demanding outdoor conditions.
Product Overview
The RS-X200BC kit includes the MEGA 200 portable panel, made from two 100-watt monocrystalline sections hinged together in a protective aluminum frame — effectively a complete portable solar array that travels as a single unit. Unfolded, it measures 53.0 × 33.1 × 1.2 inches and produces up to 200 watts at 18.4V Vmp and 10.9A Imp. Folded for transport, it closes to 33.1 × 26.4 × 2.4 inches with integrated carry handles for easy one-person transport.
Unlike rooftop panels that require mounting hardware, wiring runs, and a fixed installation, the MEGA 200 Briefcase is designed for spontaneous, flexible use. The built-in adjustable kickstand lets you angle the panel toward the sun without ground stakes, additional brackets, or support structures. Position it on a campsite, a dock, a parking area, a rooftop, or a tailgate — anywhere with a flat surface and direct sunlight. When you're done, fold it up and go.
This RS-X200BC charging kit pairs the panel with a waterproof 20A solar charge controller for a correctly configured 12V battery system. The panel has 5 ft MC4-style leads. A portable power station uses its own solar input and model-specific connector, voltage, current and wattage limits; the included battery charge controller does not establish power-station compatibility. Check the exact wiring and equipment manuals before connecting.
Go Anywhere. Set Up in Seconds.
- True Briefcase Portability: Folds to 33.1 × 26.4 × 2.4 in — fits in a truck bed, RV storage bay, garage shelf, or cargo area without disassembly or special cases.
- Built-In Adjustable Kickstand: Angle the panel toward the sun for maximum output without needing ground stakes, tilt brackets, or external support hardware.
- Integrated Carry Handles: Transport the full panel easily as a single unit — no disassembly required between locations.
- No Permanent Installation: Position on any flat surface — a campsite, dock, driveway, rooftop, tailgate, or boat deck — and start generating without drilling a single hole.
- Corner Protection: Reinforced corner guards protect the panel edges during transport and storage, extending the service life of the frame and glass.
Charges Power Stations, Generators & Battery Banks
- Solar Generator & Power Station Compatible: May be used only where the exact power station’s manufacturer confirms the electrical limits, connector and required adapter for this panel. A matching-looking plug alone does not verify compatibility.
- Battery charge controller included: Rich Solar lists a waterproof 20A solar charge controller for this RS-X200BC kit. Match its settings to the exact battery before charging.
- 200W / 18.4V Vmp / 10.9A Imp: Strong output for a portable unit — enough to meaningfully charge mid-to-large capacity power stations and 12V battery banks throughout a sunny day.
- 1000V Max System Voltage: Supports series connections for advanced multi-panel portable configurations where higher voltage input is needed.
- Emergency & Backup Ready: No grid required, no installation wait — deploy quickly for emergency power situations at home, on the road, or at a remote site.
Built as Tough as a Fixed Panel
- Monocrystalline Silicon Cells: High-efficiency monocrystalline cells deliver strong output per square inch and consistent performance across varying light conditions including overcast skies and off-angle sun.
- Strong Tempered Glass: Impact-resistant tempered glass surface protects the cell layer through years of outdoor use, transport, and handling — not the lightweight plastic film found on folding fabric panels.
- Fully Weatherproof: Sealed construction handles rain, humidity, dust, and wind — suitable for deployment in real outdoor conditions, not just fair-weather use.
- Anodized Aluminum Frame: The same corrosion-resistant aluminum frame construction used in Rich Solar's rooftop panel lineup — rigid, lightweight, and durable in outdoor environments.
- MC4 Output Connectors: Industry-standard MC4 connections for secure, weatherproof cable attachment — compatible with a wide range of charge controllers and power station solar input adapters.
The Right Panel for Off-Grid Life on the Move
- Camping & Overlanding: Deploy at your campsite without tools, angle toward the sun, and charge your power station while you set up camp. Break it down in under a minute when it's time to move.
- RV & Van Use: Supplement a fixed rooftop array on high-demand days, or use as a standalone charging solution when parking where the roof panels aren't getting direct sun.
- Boating & Dockside Charging: Weatherproof build handles marine environments — set it on deck or the dock and charge a 12V marine battery or onboard power station.
- Emergency Preparedness: Store folded in a garage, shed, or vehicle and deploy immediately during grid outages — no installation, no setup time, just unfold and connect.
- Remote Worksites: Power tools, lighting, communication equipment, and laptop charging stations anywhere a truck can take you.
