Renogy REGO 12.8V 400Ah Battery and 60A DC-to-DC Charger

The Renogy REGO 12.8V 400Ah Lithium Iron Phosphate Batteries with REGO 60A DC to DC Charger combine a LiFePO4 house-battery bank with a 12V REGO DC-to-DC battery charger for vehicle-based auxiliary power systems. The charger provides up to 60A of output current and is designed to regulate charging between a vehicle charging source and a 12V battery system.

Vehicle Charging Input and Output

The charger accepts 10–16V DC input and provides 10–16V DC output, with an 800W output rating. It supports traditional alternator input from 13.5–16.0V DC and smart alternator input from 12.5–16.0V DC. Confirm the vehicle's alternator capability, wiring, fuse requirements, and manufacturer restrictions before installation.

Battery Profile Selection

The configurable charger supports SLD/AGM, GEL, flooded, lithium, and user-defined battery profiles. Its charging data includes chemistry-specific boost, float, reconnect, warning, and shutdown settings; the lithium profile specifies no temperature compensation. Select the profile that matches the connected battery manufacturer's requirements rather than choosing by nominal voltage alone.

Installation, Protection, and Service Details

For installation, the unit uses Anderson PP75 terminals and accepts 8AWG–6AWG conductors with common-negative grounding. It communicates through Modbus and RV-C. Built-in protections include surge, short-circuit, reverse-polarity, overvoltage, over-discharge, overcurrent, over-temperature, and open-circuit protection. The charger is rated for operation from -4°F to 140°F (-20°C to 60°C), with 0%–95% non-condensing humidity, and carries a five-year material and workmanship warranty.
