The Renogy RBT100LFP12SH is a 12.8V, 100Ah LiFePO4 battery with self-heating for a compatible 12V house-battery system. It stores about 1.28kWh at its nominal rating. Renogy specifies up to 50A continuous charging and 100A continuous discharge; match those limits to the charger and connected loads.

The heating function uses power from a suitable charging source to warm cold cells before charging. It does not act as a space heater or keep itself warm indefinitely without charging input. Renogy rates the battery for 4,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge under its stated conditions.

The case measures 11.4 × 6.8 × 7.4 inches and weighs 26.2 lb. The listed package includes one battery, an activation switch and two M8 bolts. Check the manual for the supported communication equipment and exact rules before adding this battery to an existing bank.

What do the smart, Bluetooth, and self-heating features each do on this 100Ah battery? Bluetooth exposes supported battery status and protection alerts in the Renogy app. Smart communication supports compatible Renogy monitoring equipment, while self-heating uses incoming charge energy to warm cold cells before charging. None of those features replaces correct charger programming or circuit protection. Will the self-heating function warm the battery when no charger is producing power? No. The heating system depends on a suitable charging source being available. In cold storage with no solar, alternator, or AC charger input, the battery cannot create heat indefinitely from nothing; plan the charging source and temperature recovery time. Can this Renogy Smart Lithium battery be wired in series for a 24V bank? No. Renogy's instructions for this smart model prohibit series connection. Use only supported same-model parallel configurations, with matched state of charge, equal-length wiring, appropriate busbars and protection, or choose a battery specifically approved for the required system voltage. Is the 100A discharge rating enough for my inverter's startup surge? Add the inverter's DC current at full output, its surge demand, conversion loss, and other simultaneous loads. The battery's 100A maximum discharge limit and BMS must not be exceeded, and voltage sag or a cold battery can cause shutdown even when average load looks lower. Does this smart battery include a monitor screen or high-current cables? No. Renogy lists the battery, activation switch, and two M8 terminal bolts. A monitor screen, charger, battery cables, fuse, disconnect, busbars, hold-down hardware, and any communication accessories must be selected separately unless explicitly included in the chosen package.
