P2 Series Pure Sine Wave
Renogy 3000W 12V Pure Sine Wave Inverter — Inverter Only
The 3000W P2 inverter converts 12V battery power to 120V AC at 60Hz. Renogy rates this model for 3000W continuous output and 6000W peak power. This listing is the inverter-only package; battery cables and batteries are not included.
What the 3000W inverter does
Run suitable AC loads from a correctly sized 12V battery system. This inverter supplies three AC sockets, one AC terminal block and a 5V/2.1A USB port. Check each appliance’s running and startup wattage before connecting it.
Pure sine wave AC output
Pure sine wave output is intended for compatible electronics and appliances that require AC power. The inverter does not charge a battery or directly accept a solar panel input.
3000W running power, 6000W peak
The 3000W continuous rating applies to the combined running load. Renogy lists 6000W peak power for startup demand; check the specific appliance’s startup requirements as well as the battery’s discharge capability.
Match the load to the AC output
Renogy specifies 120V AC output at 60Hz. Confirm the appliance voltage, frequency and wattage before use.
Plan the 12V battery supply
Full 3000W output places substantial demand on a 12V battery bank. Confirm that the battery BMS, terminals, fuse and wiring can support the inverter under the installation instructions.
Account for startup surges
Motors and compressors can require more power at startup than while running. Compare their startup requirement with the inverter’s peak rating and the battery system’s limits.
Cooling Fan Design
Keep the inverter’s fan and ventilation openings clear, and follow Renogy’s mounting and clearance instructions.
Output and installation safety
Use the provided wired remote and follow Renogy’s manual for output wiring, grounding, fusing and safe operation.
Ground the chassis as instructed
Connect the chassis ground according to Renogy’s installation instructions and applicable electrical requirements.
Build the battery side correctly
Renogy does not include battery cables with the inverter-only package. Select cables, terminals and overcurrent protection for the current and cable run specified by the installation instructions.
Power for a properly sized mobile system
The 12V inverter can serve suitable RV and off-grid AC loads when the battery bank, wiring and ventilation are designed for the load.
What comes in the inverter-only box
Renogy lists one 3000W inverter, one wired remote control, one 5 m RJ11 cable and one user manual. Batteries and battery cables are separate purchases.
Inverter use in a mobile power system
For mobile installations, plan the battery bank and cable route around the expected AC load before mounting the inverter.
Check the full system before installation
Check appliance startup demand, 12V battery discharge current, cable size and grounding as one system.
Use in a suitable off-grid system
The inverter provides 120V AC from a correctly installed 12V battery system; follow the manufacturer’s installation and environmental limits for the intended location.
Size the inverter
Our RV inverter sizing guide explains continuous watts, startup loads and battery-side demand before choosing an RV inverter.
