What does the Victron Cerbo GX MK2 do?
The Cerbo GX MK2 is the communications and monitoring hub for a compatible Victron system. It brings inverter/charger, solar, battery, tank, temperature, and other supported device data into one interface and can send system data to the VRM portal when internet access is available.
Does the Cerbo GX MK2 include a screen?
No screen is built into the Cerbo GX MK2. You can use Remote Console from a compatible browser or phone, or add a GX Touch 50 or GX Touch 70 display.
What changed on the Cerbo GX MK2?
The MK2 has two configurable VE.Can ports with VE.Can 1 isolated, three fully functional USB host ports, pulse counting on the four digital inputs, and revised RJ45 orientation. It also retains VE.Bus, VE.Direct, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, relays, tank, and temperature inputs.
Can the Cerbo GX MK2 monitor a system remotely?
Yes. Connect it to the internet through Ethernet or Wi-Fi and register it with Victron Remote Management. Remote access depends on network availability, correct device configuration, and supported connected equipment.
What DC systems can power the Cerbo GX MK2?
Its supply range is 8V to 70V DC, covering common 12V, 24V, and 48V installations. Protect and wire the supply according to the Victron manual.
Can it connect to every third-party battery or inverter?
No. Communication requires a supported protocol, correct cable pinout, termination, compatible firmware, and correct port configuration. Check Victron's current compatibility documentation for each third-party device.
