Does the Core 200Ah Bluetooth battery need a separate BT-2 module? No. Bluetooth is built into this battery. The Renogy app can display supported remaining-power, voltage, current, and protection information without an external BT-2; communication range and phone conditions still affect the connection. Will this Bluetooth Core battery warm itself before charging in winter? No. Its BMS provides low-temperature charging cut-off, which stops unsafe cold charging, but the model is not described as self-heating. Choose an actively heated variant or warm enclosure if automatic cold-weather recovery is required. Can first- and second-generation Renogy Core 200Ah Bluetooth batteries share one bank? Renogy states that Generation 2 is compatible with Generation 1, but confirm the exact labels and firmware before mixing them. Match state of charge before connection and follow the published series, parallel, cable, fuse, and balancing instructions. What inverter surge can the Bluetooth 200Ah Core battery tolerate? Renogy publishes a 400A peak for 10 seconds and a 200A BMS. The connected inverter's actual DC surge, duration, voltage sag, cable drop, terminal temperature, and other loads must all remain within the battery and circuit limits. Will the app's percentage stay accurate without ever fully charging the battery? Battery-management estimates can drift when a bank operates for long periods without reaching a known full reference.
