Jackery Explorer 5000 Plus 10kWh + Smart Transfer Switch
A serious backup system for the circuits you cannot leave off.
This Explorer 5000 Plus configuration combines 10,080Wh of LiFePO4 storage, 7,200W of 120V/240V AC output and automatic circuit-level backup through the Jackery Smart Transfer Switch. It is built for longer outages, demanding household loads and a cleaner transition away from extension-cord backup.

Power, runtime and automatic transfer each have a clear job.
The Explorer produces usable AC power, the expansion battery extends how long that power can run, and the Smart Transfer Switch connects the system to selected circuits in the home. Together, they create a more practical outage setup than moving cords and appliances after the grid goes down.
7,200W of continuous output
Supports compatible high-demand 120V and 240V loads, with up to 14,400W of surge capacity for equipment with demanding startup power.
10,080Wh of stored energy
Two 5,040Wh batteries provide more time between recharges when the same circuits and appliances remain connected.
Automatic essential-circuit backup
Once professionally installed and configured, the Smart Transfer Switch can move selected circuits to battery power during an outage.

Back up the panel circuits you choose, not a pile of extension cords.
The Smart Transfer Switch supports up to 12 individual 120V circuits or up to six 240V circuits, including mixed configurations within the system's electrical limits. That lets an electrician prioritize the loads that matter most instead of trying to power every circuit without a plan.
With UPS functionality enabled and the system properly configured, the switch transfers supported circuits in 20 milliseconds when utility power fails.
10kWh gives your essential loads more room to run.
The Explorer 5000 Plus starts with 5,040Wh. Connecting one Battery Pack 5000 Plus adds another 5,040Wh for 10,080Wh of combined nameplate capacity. Actual runtime varies with load, conversion losses, temperature, battery condition and operating settings.
Both batteries use long-life LiFePO4 cells rated for 4,000 cycles to 70% or greater remaining capacity. If backup needs grow later, one Explorer 5000 Plus supports up to five compatible expansion batteries for 30.24kWh of total capacity.

Built for backup without the fuel routine.
The system stores electrical energy instead of burning fuel during use. It can operate indoors in accordance with Jackery's instructions, supports app-based monitoring and charging schedules, and runs at approximately 30 dB in Quiet Mode.
A strong fit for planned essential-circuit backup.
Best suited for
- Homeowners who want automatic backup for selected essential circuits.
- Longer outages where 5,040Wh alone would not provide enough runtime.
- Compatible 120V and 240V loads that fit within the 7,200W output limit.
- Customers who value quiet battery operation and app-based monitoring.
Confirm before ordering
- The Smart Transfer Switch must be installed by a certified electrician.
- Circuit selection should account for continuous and startup wattage.
- Local electrical-code, permit and installation requirements may apply.
- Runtime depends on the actual load; 10,080Wh is nameplate capacity.
More than a large battery: a planned path to automatic home backup.
The Jackery Explorer 5000 Plus 10kWh with Smart Transfer Switch pairs long-duration LiFePO4 storage with high-output dual-voltage power and professionally installed circuit integration for a cleaner outage strategy.
